Jermaine Dupri recently launched a new ad campaign for his new "3Vodka". The ad's feature Dupri himself holding the bottle of vodka by his side. The Chicago-based 3 Vodka is the only vodka in the world to receive the first flawless vodka rating of 100 points. 3 Vodka contains zero carbohydrates – the first spirit to receive government approval to list “no carbohydrates” on its packaging.
Patti LaBelle, Missy Elliott, Alicia Keys, Macy Gray and Mo'Nique are set to star in a new ‘80s-themed film entitled “Ladies Night,” which follows a group of Philadelphia women who spend the night on the town discussing sex, weight, careers and love. Mariah Carey and Beyonce have reportedly “expressed interest” in joining the cast of the low-budget indie from “Monster's Ball” producer Lee Daniels.
The new reality show “The Road to Fame” with Missy Elliott will premiere on Wednesday, January 5th on UPN. In the 10-episode series, 13 aspiring vocalists and performers will join Missy on her tour bus, travel around the country living together, train together and compete for a $100,000 prize. In addition to winning the cash prize, Elliott will sign the winner to her label and release their first single. Performers (singers & rappers) between the ages of 18 and 29 will be judged by Elliott and fellow critics singer/songwriter/producer/performer Teena Marie, Grammy Award-winning producer Dallas Austin and Mona Scott, president of Violator Management.
Xzibit will host the MTV Europe Music Awards 2004 in Rome on November 18th. He will be joined onstage at Tor Di Valle by Alicia Keys and Usher, performing their duet "My Boo". Eminem, the Beastie Boys and Nelly will also perform at the 11th annual awards show.
Miami Heat's Shaquille O'Neal & So So Def Recording artist Bonecrusher have collaborated on a remix track called "Super Ni**a." The club anthem is the first single off Bone's "Fight Music" album scheduled to drop in March 2005.
